Bill Shorten visits OLQP
Mr Bill Shorten, leader of the Labor Party and Mr Chris Bowen, our local Federal Member, came to our school today to be interviewed regarding the government funding of schools. They visited Kindergarten with Mrs Robertson and held a press conference in the Kinder playground. Mr Shorten said he "recognised that Catholic Schools invest heavily in teaching and learning and that Parramatta Diocese was clearly committed to the quality education of children in Western Sydney." Our Catholic Schools require a commitment from Government for long term funding so that as a system of schools we can plan for the future.
