  2017 Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport Trials

Any Primary students enrolled in Parramatta Diocesan Schools in Year 5 and 6 in 2017 are invited to participate in the Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport Trials during Term One/Two in 2017.It is important to note that these trials are generally for those children who display an above average ability and/or have representative experience in their chosen sport. While teams are open in age it is strongly recommended that only children of a representative standard in Years 5 & 6 in 2017 be invited to attend.

  AFL Clinic 2017

On Wednesday 17th May all students from Kindergarten - Year 6 will be participating in a free 30 minute AFL clinic run by AFL NSW/ACT.

  Athletic Carnival Nomination Form

If you would like to nominate your child for the long jump, 200m or 800m events please complete the form below and return it to school by Friday 12th May.

  New School Awards System

In 2017 we introduced a new whole school award system. This system is a cumulative system whereby students may strive towards receiving a school medal across their time at OLQP (from Kinder to Year 6).

  Premiers Reading Challenge 2017

Each year all students at OLQP are enrolled in the PRC and we strongly encourage all children’s participation.

  Code It Yourself Club

Code It Yourself Club is a 5 week after school extra-curricular activity where kids come together to train to be creators of technology. They can learn to code and design apps, games, and big projects. Download the attached form to learn more and register.

  Fizzics

This is an exciting extra curricular activity where students learn how to experiment and find answers to real-word questions with fun, hands-on activities. Students will create hypotheses, control variables to conduct fair tests, and communicate their results just like real scientists! Download the attached form to learn more and register.

  OLQP Works Appeal

To complement there unit a Fairytale Fun Day has been arranged, where the children are invited to come to school dressed as a character from their favourite fairytale. ALPHA Shows will be performing ‘Snow Queen.’

  Healthy Harold Incursion

Students in Year 1 will participate this week in an incursion with the organisation of Life Education - Healthy Harold.

  Year 2 Excursion to the Wildlife Park Sydney

To support their learning about Minibeasts, the grade is going to Wild Life Sydney to enhance their learning about insects.The date of the excursion is Tuesday 23rd May 2017. Students will need to be at school by 7:45am for an 8:00am departure.

  Year 4 Excursion to Botany Bay

The date of the excursion is Thursday, 18th of May for 4JK and 4AD, Friday 19th of May for 4MD and 4VK to Botany Bay to support the learning learning about the impact of British Colonisation on the lives of Aboriginal people.
