Parents and Friends

The OLQP Parents and Friends Association (P&F) follows the constitutional guidelines of the Diocese. It supports the work of the school by working closely with the Principal in leading the community. The main areas of support are:

  • Parent information sessions
  • Community Outreach
  • Fundraising

All parents are invited to attend meetings held each term. These are advertised in our newsletter and on our homepage (under Upcoming Events)

Speaking and Listening to Improve Reading Comprehension

  Scope IT Education

As previously mentioned we are beginning a coding club next term. A summary of the skills and content that will be developed are as follows: ● How the internet works ● How to build basic apps, websites and other computer programs ● Safe use of the internet ● Logical thinking, problem solving techniques and creative design using technology ● 3D printing and robotics As you have indicated an interest in this activity please find the details for the club on the back page. This includes a website that you will use to book in for the club. This activity is organised and managed by ScopeIT Education and all correspondence needs to be directed to them (see contact details over page). This activity will occur on Tuesday afternoons over a five week period and the children will be asked to assemble after school, near the library. The ScopeIT staff will then take the children into the library to begin the activity. The staff car park will be open for parents to use after 5.00pm. Please do not park there before this time. The activity will conclude at 5.30pm

  OLQP Parent Business Directory

We would like to offer parents the opportunity to publicise their business in an online publication, the OLQP School Community Business Directory, which will be published on our website.• The owner of the business must be the parent/legal guardian of a child currently enrolled at OLQP • An online registration form will need to be completed. • A business card, together with the $50 fee, must be submitted to the school office by Friday, 6 May, 2016 (after completion of online registration) • A short description of your business will need to be included as part of the registration process (character limit – 200 characters). All business cards and cash or cheques must be submitted to the school office in a sealed envelope addressed to the P&F – OLQP School Community Business Directory. Please make any cheques payable to OLQP P & F Association.
