Pupils at Our Lady Queen of Peace Primary School sang their little hearts out at the Penrith Eisteddfod last week.

The annual Eisteddfod, hosted by the City of Penrith Eisteddfod Society Inc, promotes the participation of cultural activities and the creative arts including dance, creative writing, music, singing, speech and drama.

Both of the school’s infant and junior choirs took out first prize in their respective categories for the second year running.

The school’s choir teachers Vera Grella and Veronica Mahony said the parents and teachers were “both very proud and excited” for the children who won and all their hard work leading up to the event.

“The students showed great commitment and worked very hard to achieve this wonderful result,” the teachers proudly expressed.
