  2018 Year 2 Excursion to Fairfield City Museum and Gallery

This term and continuing into next term the students in Year 2 have been studying a History unit, “The Way We Were, Past and Present”, which will enable them to compare the way we live now to the way people lived in the past. To support this unit we have organised an excursion to Fairfield City Museum and Gallery.

  Penrith Lakes Excursion Year 4

The date of the excursion is Tuesday 13th of November for 4MD and 4AD & Friday 16th of November for 4JK and 4VK. Students will need to be at school no later than 8:30am. They will travel by bus to Penrith Lakes, where they will be for the day, and return to school by 3:05pm.

  Year 1 Excursion to the Centennial Parklands

In Term 3 and 4, Year One have been learning and investigating the natural and human features of places. To complement the learning in this unit we have organised an excursion to the Centennial Parklands

  Year 3 Excursion to the Australian Museum

This Term, in our Visual Arts lessons, Year Three are learning about Aboriginal artists and the techniques that they use. Next Term, we will explore Aboriginal culture and history in our History lessons.To support the learning in these units we have organised an excursion to the Australian Museum.

  Year 6 Fun Day 2018

This year we have organised for the students to enjoy bowling, laser tag and karaoke for their end of year fun day on Wednesday 19th December

As part of our christmas outreach appeal, we would like to support the St Vincent de Paul Society, make Christmas Hampers to distribute to families in need in the Greystanes area.

  CAPTIVATE Rehearsal and Performance Schedule 2018

As a member of our school senior choir your child will be involved in many wonderful performance opportunities throughout the school year. Our School Swimming Carnival is being held on Friday 30th November 2018, at Blacktown Aquatic Centre, Boyd St, Blacktown. It will involve students who are able to swim 50m comfortably and competitively from Years 2 to 5.

  2018 Nut Allergy Anaphylaxis

It is important each year to outline the difficulties associated with allergies in our school. We have a number of children who are at risk of suffering a severe allergic reaction (Anaphylactic Shock) if exposed to nuts and nut products such as, PEANUT BUTTER and NUTELLA.

  Carols By Candlelight 2018

The Parish of OLQP is hosting its annual Carols By Candlelight on the evening of Saturday the 8th December, 2018. The Carol program will commence at 6.00pm, straight after the 5pm Mass, which will be held in Camilleri Hall.

  Code It Yourself Club

The National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is an annual national assessment for students in years 3, 5, 7 and 9. Planning has begun to move NAPLAN from a paper and pen assessments to an online assessment in 2019.

  2018 Buying a recorder and music tutor for music lessons

As part of this school's music curriculum all children in Years 3 and 4 are taught to play the recorder, using correct fingering and blowing techniques, through playing short pieces suited to their age and year level.
