We would like to invite you to join us for our Infants Fun Day, which is to be held on Thursday, 31 August, following our Father’s Day BBQ Breakfast and Father’s Day Liturgy.

  2017 Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport Trials

Any Primary students enrolled in Parramatta Diocesan Schools in Year 5 and 6 in 2017 are invited to participate in the Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport Trials during Term One/Two in 2017.It is important to note that these trials are generally for those children who display an above average ability and/or have representative experience in their chosen sport. While teams are open in age it is strongly recommended that only children of a representative standard in Years 5 & 6 in 2017 be invited to attend.

  2017 Walkathon Student Sponsor

Our Lady Queen of Peace Primary School, Greystanes, in conjunction with the Parents and Friends Committee, is holding a Walkathon on Friday, 22rd September 2017, to raise money towards establishing an amphitheatre on the grassed area in Area A

  Code It Yourself Club

Code It Yourself Club is a 5 week after school extra-curricular activity where kids come together to train to be creators of technology. They can learn to code and design apps, games, and big projects. Download the attached form to learn more and register.

  Fathers Day Celebrations 2017

This years Father’s Day BBQ and Liturgy will be held on Thursday 31st August. We will begin serving sausages at 7.45am. At 8.00am classrooms will be open if children would like to take Dad in to see their work.

  Children's Mass Sunday 6th August

Our next Children’s Mass will be held on Sunday 6th August at 10.00am. Once again, we extend a warm invitation to all families and friends to come along to celebrate. All children will be actively involved in the Mass.

  Choir Competition 2017

This note is to inform you that our Infants and Junior choirs have been entered into The City of Penrith Eisteddfod.The Schools Choral Competition is on Thursday 24th August, at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Penrith. The children will be travelling to and from the venue by bus. They will need to be at school at 8:15 am

In 2017 we introduced a new whole school award system. This system is a cumulative system whereby students may strive towards receiving a school medal across their time at OLQP (from Kinder to Year 6).

We have organised an excursion for Kindergarten to visit Calmsley Hill City Farm on Monday 28th August 2017. This has been planned to support our unit of work in Science and Technology (What’s Alive?).

  Year 1 Excursion Rouse Hill House and Farm

In Term One and Term Three, Year One have been learning about the changes that have occurred over time within families and their lives. To complement the learning in this unit we have organised an excursion to the Rouse Hill House and Farm.

  Year 3 Australian Museum Excursion

Last Term, in our Visual Arts lessons, Year Three learned about Aboriginal artists and the techniques that they use. This Term, we will explore Aboriginal culture and history in our History lessons. To complement the learning in these units we have organised an excursion to the Australian Museum

Year 2 are learning about Informative texts and as part of the learning we are exploring recipes. In order to support the children's understanding of writing this type of text, we would like the children to make Teddy Cars in class next week. This will involve them working with ingredients including Milky Ways, Smarties, Tiny Teddies and icing.
